Usb To Serial 7st-dh-005 What Is The Difference Between A Straight Usb Cable And A Serial To Usb Cable?

What is the difference between a straight usb cable and a serial to usb cable? - usb to serial 7st-dh-005

I'm trying to get BitPim to my phone and I bought a cable internet and I am afraid it is the right cable? I supposedly need a serial port or USB-serial-USB cable to function properly? How can I make a difference?

Thanks

A USB cable directly to USB ports on both ends, standard USB cable has a serial port (DB-25) at one end and a USB port on the other end.

One end of the cable is connected in series with a USB port on your computer. The other end is connected to a serial port. Both extremes seem different. The phone will have a connection type, then the computer can have both.

In general, referring to the series "" in this case relate to ancient serial interfaces. This type of serial interface is a 9-pin or 25-pin who is much bigger than a USB port. The ratio of 9 to 25, because the old rule was 25 pins, but most of them were not used, so they have a 9-pin connector. So this USB-to-Serial "cable" is really a circuit in which switching between serial and USB. This is done mainly to discuss a device that has a serial port from an old computer with only USB ports. There would be no difference between the serial to USB, serial and USB. It is fair to say that the wire is buried, but only connects to the camera right and the connectors are completely different.
